New old stock (1937 !) with a solid silver neck.
Taking good pictures from a new silverplated instrument is very hard. The light is spraying all around. There is no wear and tear on the silverplating, not even in the places where your fingers are when you are playing. The design of these series of Zephyr is briljant art deco: in the mechanism all angles are square. It also has a solid silver neck. I have never seen that before in this series. They started the later King Zephyr special series with a solid silver neck later in 1937. Maybe that idea was born because of the sound of this King Zephyr: complex, raw, clear, flexible and loud. Rough and beautiful!
