I have restaured this 1955 Zephyr completely after it has been on a stand for decoration for more then 25 years. The original pads were still there and the neck was bent. But the body is ok, the lacquer, for what’s left, is original and has darkened beautiful. Now it is ready for the next decades and it is a beautiful instrument. The sound is big and clear, but not screamy. And the intonation, my big fear, has become very good after the restauration of the neck. A beautiful instrument!
